please link to this journal if you have been giving the chance to declare war, so people can find the ruls and you don't have to copy and paste the lot.

NOTICE: TO BE ABLE TO DECLARE WAR YOU MUST BEAT SOMEONE WITH WAR DECLARED! you can't declare it without beating someone else in combat... think of it like spreading the chicken pocks... the person with war open has it and everyone else wants it so they miss school but the only way to get it is to play with the kid who's got the illness! DO NOT BEND THIS RULE OTHERWISE THE GAME DOESN'T WORK!

THE BATTLE SYSTEM
Answer these questions about one of your characters and then declare a deviant war! Once war is declared up to 4 artist can challenge you! the aim of the challenge is to draw a battle (one pager like aftermarth or a full comic of the battle you decide.) between your character you have done the questions for against one of their characters that has issued you the challenge. you both have one week after the challange is accepted ( so except them one week at a time so you can battle them all) to complete the battle! both entries will be then posted in the journal of the person who shouted "WAR!" and hold an open vote to see who the winner of the battle is. voting can go for as long as the war declarer chooes so to get the results and you cannot vote for yourself. The winner of the combat can then declare war in thier own journal and the cycle of battle continues. the loser can challange another deviant who has declared war untill they win a combat allowing them to declare war themselves and have people challange them. those who have declared war, regardless if they win any or loose any battles can continue to delcare war UNTILL THEY LOOSE ALL 4 COMBATS. when they loose all 4 battles in a war they are no longer allowd to challange or battle any more deviants as they are wounded and cannot continue to fight. each time you win or loose you take a battle tag and fill in the person you fought and link it or thumb it in your journal, so people can see your victory medals. You can only challange a deviant ONCE, and if you win or loose you cannot challange them again unless they challange you back.

FAQ: does the battle have to be a fight?
No, the battle doesn't have to be a physical fight. if you have a dancer who is challanged, you can hold a dance off for your battle. as long as it's a battle it doesn't matter what the terms or style it is, anything goes!

Can you be killed?
no. that wouldn't be fair to those who want to challange someone else if they lost the combat.

Do you have to give the war declarer stats to your characters?
yes.. otherwise they cannot fight you fairly. please give them the stats of the character you want issue the challange so you both know before the combat. sending them what the character looks like also helps.

Do you both do a drawing?
yes, this is a battle, both artist must do a drawing or a comic each of thier character winning the battle. the battles do not have to be the same either. the voting is between both entries, so yes, you both need ot make one.

What's the deadline? the deadline is a week from the day you accepted the challange. those who must wait, have extra time to think about thier entry against the declarer becasue no matter wether the declarer wins or looses, they all still get to battle them. you just wait your turn, and you might learn something from the battle before yours that you might be able to use or something you think the other challanger didn't think of... and if you win, rember you can now declare war against people in your own journals!

Is there a way to show when we are ready to declare war?
Yes, there is a war banner you use when you are ready to declear war. you can only declare war if you win a challange... and even though you cannot challange a deviant again, once i are open for challanges, they can challange you, becasue you declared a war the second time, and they have taken your challange.

You cannot challange someone twice, but they can challange you even if you challange them when they declared war.. make sence? people who looes can still challange people who have declared war, but cannot challange the first person they delcared, but once they finally win, the people they have lost to before can now openly challange them because they have decalred themselves open.

Also if you have already declared war you can still challange others who have delacred, however they don't get counted towards your journal wins and losses but still get marked on your scorecard, and if you loose and you already have a declaration of war in this case, you don't loose it, but do loose a spot on your journal for challangers to face you. so instead of 4, you will only be able to fight three and so on, untill you are down to one person challanges and when you lose that, you are out of the game. it's a risk, but a very good one if there is someone who challange you and beat you and you wish to beat them now they are at war. it is the only way possible to fight a devaint twice.

is there a way to loose?
yes. the war ends when you loose all four challanges when you are the declarer. you cannot challange anyone who declares afterward becasue you are offically injured and cannot battle. if you lost all but one challange you can still play, because you still won a battle. declarers can keep declaring war even if they loose a battle as they have 4 chances to still keep in the game, therefore making the game bigger and lasting longer... and allowing other deviants a chance to battle and try and win from you or someone who beat you.

what if people who challange me don't know the rules?
then simple, post these rules in your journal as well when you declare so people copy and paste it when they win and the rules don't get lost with the game.

how do you win?
you hold a vote in your journal or a poll if you have a sub, and put both entires in so people who are voting can veiw/read and cast a vote. you cannot vote for yourself. the one with the most votes is the winner and then you confer them a winner's badge, one that you make yourself, to make it special. loosers get a virtual hand shake of thankyou for the battle and a hug, in hopes that future challanges allow them to win. remember to keep score, because you can forget who you have been challange by... and yes, it is possible to battle a deviant twice, but i already explained that.

Do stats effect the battle?
Yes they do. Infact the higher the stat the more likely the character will use it. so if a character has a special of 6, they tend to uses that attack 9 times out of ten in a battle. if they have a low stat special of about 2, the reason for using it must be a damn good one, becuase it is rare as it will occur probbly 3 time out of ten in a battle. also a character with higher agility always goes first because they are faster, unless you are doing a combat resolution image or setting you comic Mid - combat. if both are the same you just decide yourself who goes first. in general, a character with high defence can take quite alot of hevey damage before being taken down, and a character with a high skill is alot smarter/resourseful and a character with high luck is got a better chance coming out of a situation that's looks bleak with everything still attached. no character can have full 6's in every stat so please be reasonable when adding stats. a character with high defence will have low agility and a stong attack ect. one with high skill will have very low luck and one with low will have high luck, as they will rely more hevely on it than someone ho has alot of skill. 1 is low and 6 is high, 4 and 3 are even skills.

What type of character can take part?
Any type human, creature you name it it can fight, OC's and fan characters are welcome as long as they are fit to do battle!
